Since I saw this photo on Gawker I've been furiously googling more about it everyday.
I mean it COULD be a sea turtle without a shell, but that looks like hair around its neck. Also, I believe sea turtles have sharp ridges along the edges of thier mouths, not teeth. If it is a sea turtle...what happened to its shell. The shell is essetially an expanded backbone, fused vertabrea and ribs. You can't just scoop it out like hermit crab.

I found this site on sea turtle anatomy
It looks more bird like then sea turtle like to me. I have no idea what kind of bird has canine like teeth...
I really hope its a dinosaur, but more then likely its some kind of muntant.
What I do know is there IS an animal testing site nearby, Plum Island, where they research animal/agricultural diseases. However its been rumoured to also be a facility for germ warfare.
Have you ever heard of the Montauk Project? The hidden bunkers where they supposedly did phycological warfare research.
Something to think about...
